NYFW Runway Report: Nicholas K Fall 2016
The brother-sister design duo behind Nicholas K have used a formula that has worked well for them and their clients. For Fall 2016 the brand stuck to that same urban nomad feel influenced by the street and utilitarian ensembles. It was all very good. Here’s our rundown:
Colors: Monsoon, aubergine, amethyst, iris, mauve, black
Silhouettes: Off-the-shoulder reversible silk and knitted dresses, high wasted belts, flared trousers, tunics, ponchos and kaftans, leather warp skull caps.
Fabrics: Stretched silk, wool, velvet
One sentence review: If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
