The glitz and glamour were in full swing at the 30th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, which took place last night in Los Angeles at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall. It’s the ultimate bash celebrating the best of the best in both film and television, and boy, we were in for a treat!
This year’s SAG Awards were extra special because they’re the last big hurrah for both short and long-form media until the September Emmys roll around. This year’s ceremony was sprinkled with extra magic because it was the first SAG Awards since the guild’s strike ended back in November.
While there was no official host, the show is kicked off with a bang thanks to the suave Idris Elba taking the stage. The fabulous Jennifer Aniston presented the legendary Barbra Streisand with the 59th SAG Lifetime Achievement Award. Plus, there was a “Devil Wears Prada” reunion on stage, when Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt reunited to present an award. Talk about an iconic moment in the making!
But, we are here to discuss or the memorable fashion moments of the night. And they were plenty. There were several actresses who didn’t play it safe, but also quite a few who stuck to elegant and classic styles. The men were super chic as well, with several of the gents donning gorgeous bejeweled broaches on their lapels.
