The Top Shoe Trends Spring 2018 are Here
The countdown to warmer weather is on, and now that you know what trends to wear this spring, let’s let’s focus on an equally important rundown, and talk top shoe trends spring 2018. Because we all know that a little #shoeporn goes a long way. And although Chicago weather is notorious for skipping spring and jumping right into summer, the shoe trends spring 2018 are too good not to talk about.
So here we go.
PVC
The clear PVC trend has also transpired when it comes to footwear. It’s a major shoe trend for spring, and quite frankly, one of our favorite. Clear PVC detailing was seen at Chanel and Off White, although we managed to find less expensive iterations of the trend.
Dad Sneakers
Well, the sneaker trend has certainly progressed in an interesting direction. Chunky dad sneakers are the newest craze among the street style set and that’s thanks to Louis Vuitton and Balenciaga. So whenever you’re not feeling sandals, a pair of chunky dad sneakers might be perfect, but not gonna lie — still warming up to this shoe trend.
Sculptural Heels
Variations of sculptural heels were seen walk across many runways, and the trend is the epitome of business in the front, party in the back situation. We love the architectural heels at Prabal Gurung, but the mass retail stores have managed to come up with quite the great versions as well.
White Shoes
Fashion’s enchantment with white shoes continues for Spring, and the runways offer plenty of versions certain to fit every taste. We love the sandals at Michael Kors, the kitten heels at Tibi and the simple mules at Dion Lee. Whichever your version is, you can pair it with literally anything.
Pops of Color
Inasmuch as white shoes are very en vogue, so are brightly hued ones. Especially in the primary colors of yellow, red and blue. Nothing picks up an outfit more than a statement shoe, right? Especially in a great color.
