The Ultimate Fashion Summer Bucket List: 5 Things Every Fashion Lover Must Do
After over a month of unplugging and time away from anything online, we are back, recharged and ready to get into all things summer. So why not kick things off with FashionFiles’s ultimate fashion bucket list for summer 2018.
Spend a Day Shopping New York’s Designer Consignment Stores
If you are a savvy shopper who loves luxury items, then consignment is the way to shop. And one of the best cities to find great vintage stores is New York. Our top three are: What Goes Around Comes Around, 351 West Broadway (between Broome and Grand Streets), for high-end items form Chanel, Balenciaga, Hermes, Gucci, to name a few ; L Train Vintage in Brooklyn, 1377 Dekalb Avenue (between Wilson and Central avenues), for literally everything vintage. Beacon’s Closet, multiple locations for Moschino to Urban Outfitters, you name it it’s there. Click here for more NYC consignment stores, and please do share some of your own in the comments.
Visit Carrie Bradshaw’s Steps in New York
The address is 64 Perry Street, West Village, New York City — not the Upper East Side as Carrie leads us to believe. You can’t miss the place — it’s chained off and always has at least a few people loitering around. This year marks the 20th anniversary of SATC, and since you’ll be in NYC…
Visit the Azzedine Alaïa exhibition at the Design Museum in London
It is a must. When the designer passed away last November, he was in the midst of working on this exhibit along with co-curator Mark Wilson, chief curator of the Groninger Museum, and a longtime friend of Alaïa. Wilson went on to finish the concept after Alaïa death.  Azzedine Alaïa: The Couturierwill remain on view at the Design Museum in London until October 7, 2018. It is the first solo UK exhibit of the designer’s work and features never before seen couture pieces.

Invest in a Chanel 2.55 Bag
You know what? It’s time to add the ultimate accessory to your bag collection and never covet again. Some of you may say it’s not worth the money, but let us remind you that a classic Chanel flip bag always keeps its value. Even 10 years down the road. Don’t forget that you also have buying options: You can always drop major dough on it right off the bat, or use consignment store that let’s you pay it off (the RealReal does that)
Go to Paris for Fashion Week
Even if you are not invited to any of the shows, don’t fret! All the fashion magic happens outside the shows, so grab your BFF and head to Paris just to oogle the street style scene. It. Is. Worth. It. You’ll get a ton of fashion inspiration and experience one of the best fashion moments of the year. Next fashion week in Paris is September 24 – October 2 — you’ve got time.
