Patrick Sharp Hosts a Chic Celebration for the Newly Designed Ermenegildo Zegna Store in Chicago

Stanley Cup Champion and NHL Chicago Blackhawks Forward Patrick Sharp hosted a chic, private event Wednesday night to mark the newly designed Ermenegildo Zegna store on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile.

“I’ve been wearing the brand for along time and the opportunity to get involved with a great event like this popped up,” Sharp told us on the red carpet. “I like all of their stuff, not only their dress attire but their casual clothes as well.”

More than 200 guests experienced the new concept store, which was created by Zegna’s in-house architects and is based on ideas developed by architect Peter Marino for the Zegna global store in Milan. The space now covers 4,300 square feet and has an additional second level that showcases Zegna Sport collections. The event also marked the arrival of the Personalization Project, prestigious new program offering the ultimate expression in made-to-order clothing and accessories.

Music of the evening came courtesy of deejay Michaelangelo L’Acqua, and Saam Hagshenas and Jonathan Marks of the local band Hey Champ. DJ Michaelangelo provided the lively beats throughout the store and the Hey Champ duo performed a live set for the well-dressed crowd, which also included NHL Chicago Blackhawk players Brandon Bollig and Michael Kostka, both outfitted in Ermenegildo Zegna.

In addition to celebrating the new space, Zegna also took the occasion to unveil a unique capsule collection dedicated to the 50th Anniversary of the Ermenegildo Zegna Extrafine Wool Trophy, an annual awards event in Australia that honors the Australian woolgrowers’ commitment to quality since 1963.

“It’s not every day that I get dressed up in great clothes like the Zegna brand,” Sharp said. “I feel very good, I feel confident, it’s nice to have an event like this between games. I feel great.”
