Ahh spring trends 2021. It is hard to even think about spring and summer right now, let alone what to wear. It is February, it is barely above freezing outside coupled with a foot of melting snow — including in Texas — and we are still in a global pandemic. But, it’s been so long since fashion trends were at the forefront of our minds that the thought of new, fresh looks in warm weather serve as sort of an escapism from reality at the moment. And also because the weather will get better, and thanks to a new administration and vaccine there’s is a light in the tunnel in terms of the pandemic.
So what are the biggest spring/simmer 2021 trends? Inasmuch as these collections were created in the immediate aftermath of the pandemic, the mood was looser, brighter and less restrained. Flowers are blooming across dresses and trousers alike, sleeves are plumped up to new volumes, denim and trousers are much wider, and if you want you can even show some skin thanks to the new bralettes that popped up on both the U.S. and European runways.
